About the program

Based on the transposition of the Renewable Energy Directive 2018/2001 in Spain, which gives rise to Royal Decree 376/2022, of May 17, which regulates the sustainability criteria and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from biofuels, bioliquids and biomass fuels, as well as the system of guarantees of origin for renewable gases.

Royal Decree 376/2022 establishes the forms that can be used to verify compliance with the sustainability requirements and some requirements in relation to its verification throughout the entire chain of the biofuels mentioned in the previous paragraph. Regulates the system of mass balance and transformation of elements to be used by economic agents and the calculation method of the effect of biofuels, bioliquids and biomass fuels on greenhouse gas emissions.
