Urgent solutions are needed for the large amount of plastic waste we generate and the dependence on fossil fuels.
Several drivers drive the growth of the circular economy and the bioeconomy. This poses challenges, but also opens up new opportunities. One of the solutions is to improve support for the circular economy or bioeconomy through increased use of recycled plastics and bioplastics.
ISCC Plus is a voluntary certification scheme that supports the transition to the circular economy and bioeconomy. But it is also used in other sectors interested in demonstrating their commitment to sustainability. Sectors such as food (human and animal) seek sustainable solutions for fully traceable and deforestation-free supply chains and rely on the ISCC PLUS scheme for compliance.
