About this Standard
Since the beginning of regulated European Union (EU) organic certification, we serve companies all over the world with a wide range of services including EU organic certification and the issuance of the Certificate of Inspection (C.O.I.) through TRACES.
The EU organic regulation applies for plant and animal products, processed food and feed, aquaculture and algae, seeds and vegetative propagation material.
All stages of production, preparation and distribution must be certified. This means that any stage from the primary production, storing, processing, labeling, packing, distribution, sale, export and import should obtain their certification before being part of the Organic product value chain.
Why choose this Standard?
It is mandatory if you want to reach the European Union organic market.
In 2020 the organic market reaches 52 billion Euros. It increased by 15%, the highest growth rate in the past decade.
Besides this impressive growth, The European Union Action Plan for Organic Production, which is part of the European Green Deal target, wants to achieve that the EU farmland dedicated to organic production grows to 25% by 2030. To support this, there is a need for increasing the consumption of organic products, and for that the Commission will undertake actions to strongly promote the EU organic logo. This is an opportunity for local products, but also for products produced outside of the EU.
