About this Standard
In 2013, the EFAPA and FIPA were integrated into one act called ‘The Act on Promotion Eco-Friendly Agriculture and Management and Assistance of Organic Foods, etc.’ for preserving the agricultural ecology by not using/minimizing the use of synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, etc. and promoting the supply of organic processed foods.
Why choose this Standard?
If you want to supply organic products to Korea, you need to become certified from primary production (at farm level), storing, packing, labeling and processing of food.
Annual Retail sales of organic food in South Korea is increasing every year. From 2012 to 2016 moves from 100.8 to 165.5 million in U.S. dollars. It is projected for more than 200 million from 2021 onwards.
