Bolivia Organic

About this Standard

Organic production in Bolivia is covered by Law No. 3525 – Regulation and Promotion of Ecological Non-Timber Forestry and Agricultural Production, which is regulated by the National Technical Standard for Ecological Production.

The Standard defines and regulates the production, wild collection, processing, labeling, marketing and certification of products labeled/sold as organic, ecological or biological.

Control Union is registered with the National Agricultural Health and Food Safety Service (SENASAG) as a Certification Body for organic production for the national and international market.

Why choose this Standard?

The Bolivian Organic Standard is mandatory to be able to market the products as organic in the local market. In the case of exporting organic products, in addition to complying with the standards of the destination market, it is mandatory to receive an audit under the Bolivian organic standard.
